New Years Day
After all the festivities, have a lie in followed by brunch with friends. Scrambled egg with smoked salmon, French toast and maple syrup and the perfect bloody Mary should fit the bill.
Burns Night
We stock haggis, shortbread and all the ingredients for cranachan.
Valentine’s Day
Show someone how much you care. Treat them to a box of cupcakes, Prestat champagne truffles or Gremillet champagne. How about a sinful dark chocolate martini?
Shrove Tuesday
Cook traditional pancakes with crunchy Demerara sugar, maple syrup or go savoury with a pesto and mozzarella filling.
Chinese New Year
We stock a range of oriental ingredients for you to create your own celebratory meal.
St David’s Day
Treat yourself to an authentic Welsh Rarebit followed by Welsh cakes.
St Patrick’sDay
Finish off your meal with Irish cheeses, we stock Cashel Blue and Gubbeen. You could go wild and make an Irish Whiskey cream cheesecake.
Mothering Sunday
It’s got to be breakfast in bed, boiled egg with buttery soldiers should do the trick. For afternoon tea, order one of our celebration cakes.
Easter
A very good excuse to order a chocolate hamper, stuffed full with Prestat, Kshocolat and other goodies.
St George’s Day
Celebrate with a typically English afternoon tea. Nothing can beat freshly baked scones with cream and strawberry jam.
May Bank Holiday
If you’re entertaining friends or family this weekend, bake a seasonal asparagus tart with puff pastry and mascarpone cheese.
Chelsea Flower Show
The start of summer, how about a smoked chicken Caesar salad?
Spring Bank Holiday
Hopefully the weather should be ideal for a picnic. We stock olives and feta cheese to go in a Greek salad, chilled soups and ciabatta loaves for a picnic sandwich.
Royal Ascot
Another excuse for a picnic, this time smoked salmon sandwiches would be perfect.
Father’s Day
What Dad could resist a full English breakfast? Come to us for locally produced sausages, bacon and eggs. Finish with a great cup of coffee from Origins coffee in Cornwall.
Wimbledon
If you aren’t lucky enough to be courtside, watch at home with a Somerset strawberry and clotted cream ice cream from Mendip Moments.
Independence Day
If this isn’t a good reason to have a barbecue, I don’t know what is! Make hotdogs with locally produced sausages, serve salads dressed with Bay Tree dressings and finish with an ice cream sundae made with Mendip Moments ice cream and Potts chocolate sauce. We could even make you a batch of red, white and blue cupcakes.
Hampton Court Flower Show
Take your own lunch of ciabatta rolls filled with cheese, ham or smoked salmon. Take a slice of our delicious quiche, a bowl of olives and finish with a chocolate brownie cooked in the café kitchen.
August Bank Holiday
Sit in the sun sipping a Pimms or a nicely chilled bottle of fizz.
Last Night of the Proms
Have your own ‘Proms in the Park’. Invite friends to share cheeses, pate and salads and celebrate this most British of occasions. You can always order a cheesecake or sweet tart from us to lighten the load.
Apple Day
Get the children making toffee apples or toffee apple popcorn.
Halloween
While the children are out ‘trick or treating’( with a responsible adult of course), sit around the kitchen table with a glass of sloe gin or mulled wine. Mmmm.
Bonfire Night
Stand around the bonfire with a mug of hot soup, then munch on sausages and baked potatoes cooked in the burning embers.
Thanksgiving
What could be more fitting than a roast turkey with chestnut stuffing.
Christmas
Everybody’s busiest time of the year. Take some of the stress away by ordering your hams, cheeses, chestnuts, chocolates, in fact anything you can think of, ready to pick up at your leisure. Don’t forget our beautiful range of gifts and hampers.
New Years Eve
Any excuse for a party. We can order the bubbly, ice the cake, in fact do anything bar come to the party.
